Step 3. Formal Rendering
When the basic 3D models get approved by the clients, we can start formal rendering for the 3D models. The clients need to provide us all the related data and written instructions needed in this stage in advance. The more detailed information we get from the clients, the better results the renderings can have. We will send the results to the clients to make comments. All the comments from the clients need to be either in a written file or demonstrated as a drawing. Free revisions such as colors, materials, ambience, textures, and atmosphere can be applied to the completed 3D model only if they are not conflict with the original requirement and previous comments of the clients, or we need extra working time and additional fee based on our hourly rate. The final results will be sent to the clients for approval, then the formal rendering drawings will either delivery to the clients or continue to the next step as required by the contracts.
Step 4. Complex presentation illustration
After the formal rendering is approved, most of the perspectives will be asked to add background or environmental context for a better presentation. To a computer illustrator, It is the most artistic part of the project. Due to the subject effect of the artistic appreciation, the satisfaction from the clients is much harder to get than the formal rendering. A good communication is the key of the success of this job. The clients need to provide us all the detailed information about the background or environmental context that you want to add to the renderings such as trees, flowers, decorate plants, grass land, people, cars, etc. We will send the result to the clients for further comments. All the comments from the clients need to be either in written files or demonstrated as drawings. Free revision only can be applied to the background or environmental context if they are not conflict with the original requirement and previous comments of the clients, or we need extra working time and additional fee based on our hourly rate.
Step 5. Delivery
After the satisfaction of the complex presentation illustration is confirmed, files could be sent by e-mails or FTP site. Usually, the basic 3D modeling job takes 3-4 business days to complete, the formal rendering job takes another 1-2 business days to complete and the complex presentation illustration job takes another 2-3 business days to complete. So a full package of a common computer 3D architectural illustration job takes 6-9 business days depending on the complexity of the design and the amount of details required.
Note: Revision after the delivery can be done with a new contract.
